About Me

A Food, Fun, Family and Self-Improvement Blog

Hi! My name is Mandy. Welcome to my blog! I want to make this blog a little piece of me and the life that I live; the things that make me tick! Come along with me on my journey to freedom – freedom to live without fear!

I’m a stay-at-home mom with four beautiful girls. I run a small baking business from home. I love to watercolor, do crafts, bake, sew, garden, and just be creative. You can find my baking business on Facebook at Bake-It-Up-Bake-Shop I love being creative in the kitchen!

Recently, I have discovered watercolor painting. Oh, how I love to just spend an afternoon with my watercolors! I am a super novice, but it is so relaxing and fulfilling at the same time.

I love to play in the dirt! Garden dirt, that is! I don’t especially have a green thumb like my parents and sisters, but I love it just the same! I can’t wait to plant something every spring.

I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Southern Utah University in Family and Consumer Science. For any oldies, that’s just a different title for Home Ec. All I have ever aspired to be is a mother. I am blessed to be a mother to four beautiful daughters, who are all growing up to be more than I ever could have dreamed, despite my own shortcomings as a mother.

I am a devoted follower of Jesus Christ. Notice I did not say a perfect follower, but a devoted follower! I strive each day to follow Him, falling many times before each day is over, but I keep trying! You can too!

We just built our own home and moved into it at the beginning of December 2018. We haven’t finished it yet, but it is a HUGE accomplishment for our family! Creating a loving and nurturing environment for my family is a top priority for me. I want our home to be a refuge from the storms and stresses outside of our walls. I love to just be home!

We have a bundle of bunnies, 27 being the current count! My girls are loving watching the babies grow and play. I am finding myself more smitten with them every day! I never imagined (and neither did my girls!) that I would enjoy having them around, haha! I just might be a bit of a germophobe! I can’t wait to get some chickens, too! It’s just an itch I need to scratch, I guess.

I’d love to have you join me on my little adventures. I promise to give you some helpful ideas along the way.
